Speaker's Statement

The House of Commons has announced the unopposed election of Select Committee Chairs for the Backbench Business Committee, Culture, Media and Sport Committee, Environment, Food and Rural Affairs Committee, Health and Social Care Committee, Northern Ireland Affairs Committee, Petitions Committee, Treasury Committee, and Welsh Affairs Committee. A ballot will be held on September 11th for the remaining posts.
