The minister asserted that this 14-year period had left Britain exposed to the volatile fossil fuel markets, which had directly led to the worst cost of living and energy bills crisis that the country has seen in generations. The minister expressed confidence that the new publicly owned energy company, Great British Energy, will help to address these pressing issues and provide a more stable and reliable energy system for the people of the United Kingdom.
