The minister highlighted the high density of suppliers across the aerospace supply chain, from design and manufacturing to coatings, assembly, certification, and testing. The minister stated that these companies are at the forefront of advanced aerospace design and manufacturing, and that every major commercial aircraft program relies on structures, components, and expert services from Northern Ireland. The minister also noted that Northern Ireland's world-class universities and extensive network of further education colleges provide excellent academic and vocational training, supporting the development of the aerospace industry in the region. The minister expressed hope that many members would take the opportunity to intervene and engage in the discussion on the government's support for the aerospace industry in Northern Ireland.
